National Data Analyst

Reporting to: Deputy National Address Data Manager

Purpose

To provide technical support to local authorities in the receipt and incorporation of addressed based information from Local Land and Property Gazetteers and other third party data suppliers into the National Address Gazetteer.

Key Roles

Liaison with local authority LLPG Custodians and officers in response to LLPG full and COU files submitted to GeoPlace for England, Wales and Isle of Man.

Supporting LLPG Custodians with file errors, anomaly resolution and exceptions.

Monitoring trends in COU file submissions and assisting the National Address Data Manager in their duties of providing first rate support to local authorities.

Monitoring and reporting of system bugs.

Assisting the National Address Data Manager and other colleagues with the coordination of unsynchronised change intelligence supplied from third party data providers (including VOA, Royal Mail and Ordnance Survey).

Assisting with other data loads (e.g. Scotland, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, OSMM, etc) as required.

Assisting with system testing as required.

Good knowledge of BS 7666, the NLPG Data Entry Conventions and Data Transfer Format

Experience using SQL scripting

A minimum of 1 years’ experience working with Authority Address data

Aiming for a deep level of knowledge on validation checks and processes
