Members of the Road Network Statistics team will be at the conference to provide an update on our work which is looking to increase the use of Ordnance Surveys’ Highways Network as the source data for the Department for Transport's official road length statistics. The aim of the work is to reduce the burden on Local Authorities by removing the R199b consultation from the single data list. DfT are working closely with GeoPlace and Ordnance Survey on various topics including to help align the data in Highways with the National Street Gazetteer.
